Crystal Commander

Description

Inspired by old classics I used to play as a kid, most notably the old Crystal games (Crystal Quest, Crystal Crazy) on early 90's Macs. This is my attempt at a spiritual successor to those games, but with my own personal spin/take on them.

Still currently in development (but fully playable), I plan on adding more objectives, more enemies, more items and powerups, server-side high scores, and more! Mobile controls are currently WIP but I plan on fleshing them out as much as possible.

Controls

Windows

• Mouse Cursor: Ship facing/angle
• Left Mouse: Acceleration
• Right Mouse: Fire Weapons
• Spacebar: Use Bomb
• F4 (in main menu): Enter/Exit Fullscreen

Android

• Tap and hold: Ship acceleration and facing/angle
• Bottom right button: Toggle auto fire
• Bottom left button: Use Bomb

Options

• Music On/Off
• Sound Effects On/Off
• Controller Enabled (WIP)
• Mobile Left/Right handed (WIP)

How to Play

Stage objectives (and getting a high score) are the name of the game! Once you've completed the objective on the Stage title card, (i.e. collect, reveal, break, etc.) an Exit Gateway will open for you to complete the stage. Be careful though, as you can collide with the sides! Careful maneuvering will be required to avoid Stage obstacles like the Exit Gateway and explosive mines placed carelessly throughout the Stage.

There will be enemies spawning in on the stage, but their main goal is to get in your way, and not nearly as important as completing the objectives and getting out of dodge.

To assist with surviving the waves of enemies, several powerful items/powerups will be available - random % chance to spawn on Stage start, but also guaranteed on Bonus Stages (for a small point cost)

But forget all that! Best way to learn is to hop and and give it a shot! =)
